The Piece

This Satori sukajan joins skull and skeleton imagery from punk and rockabilly culture with the warrior iconography of Japan: a musha warrior in the guise of a yamabushi mountain ascetic, a drawn sword and a shishi, the guardian lion of temple gates. Death’s-head humor and protective ferocity meet in one embroidered composition.

The jacket has been worn for fashion shoots and editorials and carries the slight wear of that use.
