This Satori sukajan brings together the armored musha warrior of Japanese battle imagery and the Hannya, the Noh mask of a woman transformed by jealousy and grief into a horned demon. Flames of hell surround the composition, a motif drawn from Japanese tattoo art, where fire signals both peril and purifying power.
