Takashi Murakami × BLACKPINK Panda on Flower Sphere Poster, Black Ground, Framed with UV-Cut Acrylic

Takashi Murakami's panda seated atop his flower sphere meets the global reach of BLACKPINK in this collaboration poster. Set against a black ground that heightens every color, it arrives custom-mounted in a white frame with UV-cut acrylic, ready to anchor a wall.

The Piece

The composition merges Murakami's established panda and flower sphere motif with BLACKPINK collaboration branding embedded in the image. Contained within a spherical structure, the artist's floral system becomes a compact yet dynamic visual field, while the panda, rendered here in a darker tonal variation, sits at its center.

Unlike Murakami's lighter compositions, this version introduces a black background that changes the entire visual dynamic. Panda and flowers appear isolated, almost spotlighted against the void; the colors intensify and the shapes sharpen, so the image leans toward poster language while keeping Murakami's structural precision. In an interior it does not diffuse into the space but holds it through contrast.

The work belongs fully neither to the art world nor to pop culture. Murakami's visual language provides the structure and BLACKPINK provides the amplification, carrying the image through fan networks and social platforms as well as collector circles. The panda acts as a cultural translator: an entry point into Murakami's world for BLACKPINK audiences, and a broader cultural frame for Murakami collectors.

The custom frame with UV protection makes the piece display-ready from the moment it arrives, with no further preparation needed.
