Wide satin cargo trousers from spring-summer 2025, bleached and abraded by hand so the black reads almost charcoal, in the house size most wearers find just right.

The Piece

The spring-summer 2025 cargo trousers sold through quickly in Japan, and the black colourway in particular became a styling staple for the Tokyo street crowd. Mihara Yasuhiro cut them from a soft cotton and rayon satin, then bleached and abraded the cloth so every seam, pocket edge and knee carries a faded, sun-worn tone.

The trousers have an elasticated waist with a long woven drawcord belt, two oversized bellows cargo pockets with flaps, rear flap pockets, and drawcord hems that let you gather the leg into a balloon or leave it to fall straight. White contrast stitching outlines the construction, and the house patch sits at the front waist. The satin has a gentle sheen that catches the light differently with each fold.

Size 38 is the house small, but Mihara trousers run very large: the waist measures around 82 cm and the leg is wide and long. For most men this is the size that sits correctly at the hip. Wear them with a boxy T-shirt and chunky sneakers, cinched at the ankle for the full silhouette.
