BERES IS-06, two-star grade, 4 to 11 plus AW and SW, right-handed, on ARMRQ X 47 2S shafts in regular flex.
The Piece
Honma’s Sakata factory makes BERES irons the slow way: forged heads, hand finishing, and ARMRQ shafts wound in-house rather than bought in. Each set carries a star grade, two stars being the entry to the line, three stars a lighter premium shaft with gold accents, four stars and above adding 24-karat gold plates and rings.
The IS-06, launched in 2018, is a forged iron with a thin L-cup face and a wide sole, the BERES design for players who want both distance and a soft feel. This set runs 4 to 11 plus AW and SW, 10 clubs in all, right-handed, on ARMRQ X 47 2S shafts in regular flex.
A full ten-club run from the 4 iron to the sand wedge, which is unusual for the IS-06.
