Samurai and kabuki imagery in the manner of ukiyo-e is printed across this COTE MER tee, finished with a line of Kyoto brocade silk. Handmade in the atelier's workshop, it brings a centuries-old visual culture into a single, wearable size L example.

The Piece

This T-shirt pairs a cotton body with a kimono line cut from Kyoto brocade. COTE MER makes the most of materials that give a feeling of Japan's long history and tradition and remakes them as contemporary garments.

A large kimono pattern is printed on the piece, in the wagara and ukiyo-e manner with samurai and kabuki imagery. It is as comfortable on the street as in fashion-forward styling.

COTE MER handmakes every original in its own workshop from dismantled vintage materials, valuing even scraps, so the shirt is the only one of its kind.
