COTE MER sets a line of Kyoto brocade silk against a cotton body and adds a large printed kimono pattern, translating Japanese textile heritage into an everyday tee. Handmade in the atelier's workshop, this XL example is the only one of its kind.

The Piece

The kimono line of this T-shirt is cut from Kyoto brocade, while the body is cotton. COTE MER draws out the charm of materials that evoke Japan's history and tradition and remakes them as contemporary clothing.

A large kimono pattern is printed across the piece, making it an original and special garment that works on the street or in fashion-forward dress.

Each COTE MER original is made by dismantling and reconstructing vintage items by hand in the house's own workshop, using even the scraps, so this tee is unique.
