Moncler's Bady, the short hooded puffer that has defined the house's women's line for years, in high-shine black lacquered nylon and women's size 00.
The Piece
Founded in 1952 in the mountains above Grenoble, Moncler turned the technical down jacket into a luxury staple, and the Bady is its most recognisable women's design: short, fitted and hooded, with horizontal quilting that follows the body.
This example is in black lacquered nylon with the familiar glassy finish. It closes with a two-way front zip, has zipped side pockets, an attached hood, elasticated cuffs and a cinched hem, and carries the felt Moncler cockerel badge on the sleeve. The tricolour grosgrain tape runs inside the neck above the Moncler label.
Tagged size 00, filled with 90% down and 10% feather, with nylon shell and lining, made in Armenia and supplied through Moncler Japan. Measurements: shoulder 37 cm, chest 41 cm across, sleeve 60 cm, length 55 cm, an extra small.
It is warm without bulk, and it works with anything from tailoring to leggings.
