Noir Kei Ninomiya: A Comme des Garçons Label

Kei Ninomiya launched the Noir label in 2012 within the Comme des Garçons company. The first collection was for spring/summer 2013, and the first Paris presentation followed in 2017. It is dated in the Encyclopedia and set in context in Against Clothing: Rei Kawakubo, Comme des Garçons and the Japanese Avant-Garde, and surveyed in Contemporary Japanese Designers and Brands to Watch.

The collection will fill as the archive grows. Season, size and condition are recorded in each description, and the season on the inside tag is often the best guide to dating a piece.
