Nepenthes: Keizo Shimizu’s Tokyo Shop
Keizo Shimizu began Nepenthes in 1988, with a first store in 1989. Engineered Garments, by Daiki Suzuki, began around 1999. The shop appears in Popular Amekaji Brands: A Collector’s Directory of Makers and Shops and is dated in the Encyclopedia.
The collection will fill as the archive grows. Season, size and condition are recorded in each description, and the season on the inside tag is often the best guide to dating a piece.
