The theatrical intensity of the Nebuta festival float, translated into a reversible sukajan. A large expressive warrior face, samurai, clouds and skulls fill the black-and-champagne face, while the reverse turns to a dense red-and-black all-over pattern.

The Piece

This reversible jacket channels Japanese festival imagery, warrior folklore and tattoo-style street fashion. The black and champagne satin side presents a bold figure composition in a style reminiscent of Nebuta festival floats, kabuki, ukiyo-e illustration and Japanese folk painting: a samurai figure on the front and, across the back, a large expressive face with the dramatic power of festival and warrior art, surrounded by cloud motifs that suggest movement and atmosphere, with skull and flame details adding a tattoo-art edge.

The reverse turns to a completely different mood, a rich red-and-black palette of dense all-over decorative patterning with a more graphic, fashion-led look, easy to wear as a standalone bomber when a quieter outfit is wanted.
