Several kimono are pieced together into these COTE MER half pants, a loose, oversize cut that carries Japanese textile tradition into hip-hop styling. With an elastic, adjustable waist, they are handmade in the atelier's workshop and exist only once.

These short pants are made from kimono, the garment that symbolizes Japan, combining multiple pieces into one design. COTE MER draws out the charm of materials that carry Japan's history and tradition and remakes them as modern clothing.

Even small remnants are used, so that the value of each fabric is maximized in a sustainable, design-led way. The pants wear well in street or sporty styling, with a loose, baggy, oversize fit suited to hip-hop dress.

Each pair is handmade in COTE MER's own workshop and is therefore one of a kind. The atelier can also make custom orders or similar styles.
