A women’s tailored jacket from Undercover’s 35th anniversary Autumn-Winter 2025 but beautiful 4 collection, printed with drifting black feathers and closed with oversized buttons in four colours.
The Piece
The but beautiful series is one of the threads running through Jun Takahashi’s career, from the mid-2000s chapters to this fourth instalment made for the house’s 35th anniversary in Autumn-Winter 2025. The label inside says so in gold script: but beautiful 4, Undercover 35th Anniversary Special Edition.
The jacket is a short, close-cut single-breasted blazer in white, printed all over with fine black feathers that seem to fall across the body. The front closes with oversized buttons in blue, red, green and cream, repeated at the cuffs, and the lapels are piped in black. The hem and cuffs are finished with a black and white micro-check band, flashes of a floral lining show at the hem, and a small gold charm is pinned at the back.
The composition tag reads UC2E1108-2, size 2, wool 100% shell with cotton and silk accents, polyester padding and cupro lining, made in Japan.
Size 2 suits a women’s small to medium. It is a gently theatrical piece that wears beautifully with black trousers or a long skirt.
