Off-White c/o Virgil Abloh Cowhide Leather Biker Jacket with Pink Spray Arrows 99 Back Print, Black, Size XS

A classic black cowhide double rider from Virgil Abloh’s Off-White, its back sprayed in hot pink with the house arrows, a stencilled bar and a hand-painted 99.

The Piece

Virgil Abloh built Off-White on the idea of the quotation mark: a familiar object, marked as an object. The leather biker was the perfect vehicle, an archetype of rebellious dress to which he added the brand’s crossed arrows in spray paint, as if tagged by hand. The pink spray pieces date from the label’s early, graffiti-led years, believed to be around 2017 to 2018.

This jacket is cut in black cowhide with an asymmetric zip, notched lapels with snaps, a belted waist, slanted zip pockets and zipped cuffs. On the back the arrows logo is sprayed in vivid pink beneath a stencilled bar and the number 99, with a small TM. Inside, the familiar mint-green Off-White MAIN LABEL and INNER LABEL tags and a striped lining tab.

Size XS is cut close and short in the traditional rider manner, sitting at the hip with a slim sleeve. It suits a slender frame and looks right with straight black jeans and boots.

The leather shows honest, moderate wear and the lining has light marks, giving it the lived-in character this design invites.
