A 1980s Kansai International knit combining mixed-material patchwork with a geometric front design that runs down the sleeves.

The Piece

The geometric artwork on the front carries asymmetrically into the sleeves, and the patchwork is built from different yarns and textures so the surface is dimensional rather than flat. It dates from the years when Kansai Yamamoto’s work with David Bowie was shaping his name abroad.
