A long cotton mods coat from Undercover's spring-summer 2022 collection, printed across chest and back with Manabu Deto's eerie landscape of jagged peaks, a lone tower and a dome on a pale plain.

The Piece

For spring-summer 2022 Jun Takahashi invited the Japanese painter Manabu Deto to contribute artwork, and the collaboration produced some of the most atmospheric prints of recent Undercover seasons. Deto's paintings are quiet and uncanny: rocky mountains, empty plains and solitary structures rendered in muted greens and whites.

This coat follows the shape of a fishtail parka: a full hood with drawcord, concealed placket, two flap pockets, a back vent with snaps and a drawstring hem. The artwork runs as a horizontal panel across the upper body front and back, so the image wraps the wearer at chest height. Reference UC1B4307-1, size 3.

It is a generous long coat, 105 cm in length with 52 cm shoulders, made for layering over knitwear in spring and autumn.
