Tokyo itself is the subject of this black satin souvenir jacket: a sumo wrestler at its center, surrounded by Mount Fuji, a red torii gate, the Kaminarimon lantern, Tokyo Skytree and cherry blossoms, all linked by flowing golden lines. A high stand collar sets it apart from the ribbed sukajan norm.

The Piece

The large multicolored back embroidery centers on a powerful rikishi in a traditional ceremonial mawashi, preparing for competition, with snow-capped Mount Fuji, Tokyo Skytree in vivid blue, a red torii gate, a Kaminarimon-style lantern embroidered with 雷門, pink cherry blossoms and stylized foliage. Golden cloud and water lines connect the motifs like drifting clouds or currents of wind across the deep black ground. White 'Tokyo' script crowns the composition, joined by unexpected 'Pacha Ibiza' lettering and a small key emblem: less a dragon-or-tiger sukajan than an embroidered Tokyo travel poster with an international twist.

The front is calmer. One side shows a golden full moon above reeds, water and atmospheric cloud; the other a flowering sakura branch with petals descending toward the hem. The lantern recalls the gateway to Sensō-ji in Asakusa and the Skytree the modern skyline, so old and new Tokyo share one embroidered stage; the wrestler speaks of discipline and the ceremonial heritage of the national sport, Fuji of endurance, the sakura of seasonal transience.

In place of the usual striped rib-knit neckline, the black satin-finish body rises into a high, wrap-style crossover stand collar, a cleaner and more refined profile. Straight long sleeves close with snap-fastened cuffs, and the jacket has a full front zipper, two lower front pockets, a lightly gathered hem and a woven lining.
