The Piece
A Satori sukajan in black and red, built around a ryū dragon drawn from the expressive brushwork of Soga Shohaku (1730–1781), the Edo-period painter celebrated for his wild, energetic dragons and immortals. Satori translates that ink-painting drama into tattoo-art embroidery on the Yokosuka jumper, the souvenir jacket born in postwar Japan.
The jacket has been worn for fashion shoots and editorials, and carries the slight wear of that use.
