The Piece
The A-2 was adopted by the US Army Air Corps in the early 1930s and became the defining leather flight jacket of the Second World War, its short body, knit cuffs and waistband and shirt-style collar now classic menswear. Avirex, long associated with military flight jacket reproductions, offers this example as its Glenn Miller model.
