The Wheel Printed Asymmetry Blouse from Yohji Yamamoto Pour Homme's Spring/Summer 2025 collection: a long black silk shirt with a stepped hem and a photographic print of cart wheels and crumbling walls.

The Piece

Spring/Summer 2025 at Pour Homme was built around black silk worn long and loose, with prints that look like old photographs bleached by light. The Wheel Printed Asymmetry Blouse is one of the collection line's defining shirts, and its imagery, a large spoked wheel at the shoulder and a ruined, window-pierced facade running down the body, gives it the mood of a still from a forgotten film.

The cut is the house's asymmetry blouse. One side of the front falls to a long, tunic-like panel while the other is cut shorter, and the back repeats the step, so the hem descends in two levels. The print is placed rather than repeated, positioned differently on front and back, with a smaller wheel echoing on the reverse.

Made in Japan from 100 per cent silk, it has a classic point collar, a concealed placket and buttoned cuffs, and the silk has the soft weight and slight sheen that makes these shirts drape rather than hang.

Tagged size 2, it measures 51 cm across the shoulder and chest with a length of 118.5 cm at the longest point. Worn loose over wide trousers, or under a long jacket so the hem shows, it suits a men's small to medium.
