A collarless long jacket in black silk washed with a smoky, marbled print and lettered with Fais de ta vie un rêve, a line from Saint-Exupéry that Yamamoto has made his own.
The Piece
Fais de ta vie un rêve, et d'un rêve une réalité: make your life a dream, and of the dream a reality. The line is attributed to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry; here it runs in white type near the hem, while the designer's name appears inside the front, visible only when the jacket falls open.
The cloth is 100% silk, printed in black, charcoal, mauve-grey and taupe with an abstract pattern that recalls stone, lichen and baroque ornament dissolving into each other. The cut is long and collarless, with a narrow standing edge at the neck, dropped shoulders, button cuffs and side vents, and it is made without a lining so the silk hangs freely.
The jacket is tagged size 2, made in Japan, with product code HK-J46-445, and retains a hang tag. The season is offered as Spring/Summer 2026 and is to be confirmed.
It wears like a light silk coat, reaching to the knee, and layers easily over black. In warm weather it does the work of a summer jacket; in cooler months it slips under a heavier coat.
