Black leather ankle boots from Yohji Yamamoto womenswear, with a pointed western toe covered in rows of small silver studs and a low stacked heel.
The Piece
Footwear has always been part of the Yohji Yamamoto silhouette, from heavy work boots to sharp, pointed shapes borrowed from western and riding traditions. These ankle boots from the womenswear line sit firmly in that second family.
The upper is a soft black calf, smooth and slightly glossy, cut with a clean shaft that rises above the ankle. Over the toe, hundreds of small domed silver studs are set in tight rows that taper towards the instep, forming a shield-like shape that catches the light. A long zip on the inner side makes them easy to put on.
The toe is pointed and lightly squared, the heel is a low stacked block in the western manner, and the sole is leather with a rubber heel cap. The signature logo is stamped inside on the insole.
Worn under wide trousers only the studded toe shows; with a long skirt the whole boot comes into play. They are in very good condition, with almost no wear to the soles.

- Faint creasing at the vamp from wear.
- Soles show almost no wear.
