A spring-summer 2022 Undercover rider in supple black cowhide, its front and back panels replaced with printed cotton carrying graphic text and a sweeping hand-drawn motif in Jun Takahashi's collage manner.

The Piece

Jun Takahashi has returned to the motorcycle jacket in almost every phase of Undercover, from the early punk years to the more poetic recent seasons. The spring-summer 2022 men's collection was rich in printed artwork and slogans, and this rider is a direct carrier of that mood.

The pattern is the classic asymmetric-zip rider with a wide collar, snap lapels, zipped hand pockets, zipped cuffs and adjustable side tabs. The difference is in the panels: the lower front and back are worked in black printed cotton with text and graphic motifs, including a large white scribbled design and a turquoise word printed at the hem, so the leather frames the artwork like a canvas. Reference UC1B4207-1.

Size 2 measures about 55.5 cm across the chest with a body length of 64 cm. The jacket is light for leather, at around 650 g, which makes it practical for spring and autumn layering.
