The first production of Undercover’s 08 Riders, reference B4210 from 2008, in heavy yet supple black cowhide and complete with every accessory it was sold with.
The Piece
The 08 Riders have been an Undercover staple since 2008, and among Japanese collectors the first run, reference B4210, is spoken of with something close to reverence. The cowhide used for that initial production is widely considered the best the house has used on the model: thick, but with a soft, almost oily hand that later runs never quite matched.
The jacket follows the classic British rider pattern with an asymmetric front zip, snap-down lapels, a coin pocket, chest and hand zip pockets, belted waist and zipped cuffs. The We Make Noise Not Clothes slogan is stitched into the leather at the chest. Inside is a burgundy cotton lining with cupro sleeves.
The neck label is the UISM Made by UCLAB Rebel Clothes patch with a 0 tab; the care label reads Undercover Co. Ltd, made in Japan, B4210, size 0, cowhide. The original price tag, repair leather swatch, Undercoverism card, care tags, branded hanger and garment cover are all included.
Size 0 is the smallest size, best for a slim build around 165 to 170 cm. A complete set of the first-generation 08 Riders is hard to find.

The labels, materials, stitching, hardware and construction are examined together and documented in Japan before dispatch; anything that cannot be confirmed is stated plainly in the description.
