Louis Vuitton SS2024 Pharrell World Map Camouflage Hooded Cotton Parka, Orange and Aubergine, Size 58

A hooded cotton parka from Pharrell Williams's Louis Vuitton, printed in a camouflage made of the world's continents in ochre, tangerine, aubergine and cream, with the house name hidden in the pattern.

The Piece

Travel is the oldest idea at Louis Vuitton, and Pharrell Williams's early seasons kept returning to it. Here the world map itself becomes camouflage: continents are scattered and overlapped in halftone, so the pattern reads as military print from afar and as an atlas up close, with a large LV and VUITTON lettering absorbed into the design.

The parka is cut in a substantial cotton canvas with a cotton lining. It has a fixed drawcord hood, a zip front under a snap storm flap, lower patch pockets with side entries and snap-tab cuffs. The colours are warm and saturated, set against a cream ground.

In size 58 it is genuinely large and wide, falling to the upper thigh with long sleeves; it suits a tall frame or anyone wanting an emphatically oversized line. Worn open over a knit, it is a coat for the transitional months of spring and autumn.
