Primary colours and doodled faces: a long Kansai O2 wool cardigan blocked in red, yellow, blue and black, with line-drawn profiles and symbols knitted into the panels.
The Piece
The cardigan is cut long and straight with a V neck and five buttons, each panel a different flat colour in the manner of a De Stijl canvas. Across the front and back, Kansai Yamamoto’s line drawings — profiles, hands, a bass clef, a chain of circles — are knitted in black.
Pure wool with ribbed cuffs and hem; Kansai O2 label at the neck. Made in Japan.
Roughly a size L (the previous keeper is 177 cm). Measured flat: shoulder 51 cm (20 in), chest 53 cm (20.9 in), sleeve 56 cm (22 in), length 81 cm (31.9 in).
