Runway cargo trousers from Junya Watanabe MAN spring-summer 2024, built from black technical twill with a sprawl of flap pockets, mesh patches and drawcords down the leg.
The Piece
The spring-summer 2024 Junya Watanabe MAN show in Paris paired workwear collaborations with heavily pocketed, reconstructed trousers, and this is one of them, shown on the runway beneath a hybrid work jacket. The trousers were produced in limited numbers for both the men’s and women’s ranges; this is the men’s version.
Cut wide and slightly cropped in a dense black polyester, the trousers carry pockets everywhere: layered flap pockets on the thighs, a black mesh patch pocket at the front, bellows pockets low on the leg and drawcords and zips at the hem so the opening can be gathered. The pattern is assembled from panels set at different angles, giving the trousers their constructed look.
Product code WM-P002-051, dated AD2023 on the care label and made in Japan, with the original Junya Watanabe MAN swing tag and spare fabric included.
A strong single piece for anyone collecting recent Junya runway work.

Condition
- Small area of abrasion with raised fibres and a loose thread on one side of the leg (shown in the final photograph).
- Otherwise clean, with no stains or holes observed.
- Zips and drawcords working.
