Hysteric Glamour x Lewis Leathers Single Rider Leather Jacket, Brown, Size M

A collaboration between two institutions of rock and roll leather: Tokyo's Hysteric Glamour and London's Lewis Leathers, in a brown single rider with a long centre zip and a houndstooth-check lining.

The Piece

Lewis Leathers has made motorcycle clothing in London since the 1890s, and its jackets have been worn by everyone from the Ton-Up boys to the Sex Pistols. Hysteric Glamour, founded by Nobuhiko Kitamura in Tokyo in 1984, built its identity on the same music and the same attitude. The two have collaborated repeatedly, and those jackets are sought after in Japan above most others.

This is the single rider: a clean, zip-front jacket with a pointed shirt collar, flapless slash pockets, a waist with side adjusters and zipped cuffs. The brown leather has a rich, slightly burnished tone, and the collar reveals a black and white houndstooth-check lining. A small embossed mark sits on the left chest.

Tagged size M, with a chest of 54 cm across, shoulder 45 cm, sleeve 64 cm and length 61 cm, roughly a men's medium to large in Lewis's classic short body.

It is a jacket built to be worn hard for decades, and a collaboration that speaks to both London and Tokyo.
