The Piece

The great navigators are a favourite Hermès subject. Here the centre is a mapmaker’s table of charts and rhumb lines, with ships, landing parties and astrolabes drawn in fine sepia line around it.

Grey-blue and verdigris panels and a bronze border make it a muted, scholarly carré that sits well with tweed and camel.
