The Knee Tab Padded Printed Pants from Yohji Yamamoto Pour Homme's Autumn/Winter 2025 collection, shown in Look 19: reversible padded trousers with a large painterly print on one face and plain black on the other.
The Piece
Autumn/Winter 2025 at Pour Homme mixed tailoring with padded, almost bedding-like pieces made for cold streets, and these trousers are among the season's boldest. They appeared on the runway in Look 19, and they are reversible, so one pair gives two very different garments.
On the printed face, a large brushwork image in ivory, olive, ochre and red, suggestive of a figure and loose ribbons of ink, sweeps from the hip down one leg against a deep olive-black ground. Turned inside out, the trousers become a plain black padded pair in a smooth cupro face with a buttoned fly panel. Both sides are quilted lightly with polyester padding for warmth, and the cut is wide through the seat and thigh, tapering to the ankle, with tabs at the knee that let the leg be gathered.
The composition label carries the product code HL-P48-921: polyester shell, cupro lining, polyester padding, made in Japan.
Tagged size 2, they measure about 98 cm around the waist with a drawstring and elastic for adjustment, a 38 cm rise, 72.5 cm inseam, 45 cm thigh and 22 cm hem. They will suit a men's medium to large and are cropped to sit above boots.
