A single Medusa medallion in black enamel within a Greek key frame, hung from an elongated paperclip chain: the most wearable of contemporary Versace bracelets, stamped Made in Italy.
The Piece
The contemporary Versace jewellery line keeps the house codes close: the Medusa head of 1978 and the Greca, the Greek key border that Gianni Versace borrowed from classical architecture. On this bracelet they are combined in a single charm, a round medallion with a sculpted Medusa set against black enamel and ringed by the key pattern.
The charm hangs from a sturdy chain of long rectangular links, the paperclip style that has become a modern classic, closing with a lobster clasp. The reverse of the medallion is stamped Versace Made in Italy. The finish is a softly brushed gold tone rather than a mirror polish, which keeps it understated.
At about 16 cm the bracelet suits a slender wrist and can be worn a touch looser on a small one. It is unisex and pairs naturally with a leather-strapped watch.
