Jun Takahashi's anatomical shoe from Undercover's Anatomicouture season: cobalt polished leather Oxfords inlaid with white leather foot bones across the vamp and a vertebral spine running up each heel.
The Piece
Autumn-winter 2013 was the season Jun Takahashi called Anatomicouture, a collection built around the idea of wearing the body's structure on the outside. Bones, muscle and the skeletal frame appeared as appliqué and print across tailoring and knitwear, and the footwear carried the theme to its most literal and most collectable form.
This pair is cut in a bright cobalt polished leather with a plain-toe Oxford pattern. White leather metatarsals and phalanges are inlaid across each vamp, mirrored left and right as a real pair of feet would be, and a white spine runs from the welt up the heel counter. Navy flat laces, a black leather lining with the Undercover script on the footbed, and a stacked heel with a rubber sole finish the shoe.
It is a statement piece with a long tail of interest among collectors of early 2010s Undercover, and pairs that come up in this colour are uncommon. Size M corresponds to roughly 26 to 26.5 cm, with an overall length of about 30 cm.

- Uppers bright and glossy with light creasing at the flex points.
- White inlays clean and fully attached.
- Heels and soles show moderate wear, visible in the last photograph.
