This particular statue of the actual life-size of Astroboy was used in real-life as a statue/symbol of Tetsuwan Atom during the early 1980s. It was probably made late 1970s-early 80s as a prototype figure by Tada Pro or the maker of many vintage toys of Tezuka Productions at that time. It was blessed and used by Tezuka Osamu Sensei himself in many of the exbitions and promotions done during that time for this hit anime series then. It thus a very sentimental parting from the original owner and collector who go it from a direct connection during that time with the people behind Tada Pro and is sought after by many die-hard collectors. The LED lights works fine and properly. There are age-related, usage-related and vintage cracks and marks all over which testify to its extensive purpose that it has served then before being kept for posterity by the previous collector.
