The Piece
This Prince Shokai sukajan brings Japanese tattoo-art design to the reversible bomber, embroidered in yokoburi, the traditional method in which the embroiderer moves the fabric by hand beneath a swing-needle machine to build up shaded, almost painted thread. Velvet velour, a pile textile that absorbs light, lets the embroidery rise with particular depth.
