Collectible Nami Sukajan with Two Complete Embroidered Designs
A richly embroidered ONE PIECE collaboration sukajan devoted to Nami, the navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates, presented in a fully reversible construction with two dramatically different personalities.
The primary side unfolds across deep royal-purple satin, where Nami appears beneath a traditional red wagasa parasol amid cascading cherry blossoms, flowing water and an oversized golden moon. Reverse the jacket to reveal a black monochrome composition filled with pirate emblems, curling clouds, maritime imagery and a large Straw Hat ship beneath the embroidered words “Chief Officer.”
Identified as model OPSJ-011, 桜花とナミ / Ouka to Nami, this design was produced through the ONE PIECE and Switch Planning collaboration and is associated with the Hanatabi Gakudan and TEN STRIKE family of embroidered Japanese streetwear.
Why This Piece Stands Apart
Most character jackets announce their anime origins immediately. This design takes a more atmospheric route.
From a distance, the purple side resembles a lavishly embroidered Japanese night scene. Only on closer inspection does Nami emerge from the sakura canopy, dressed in an ornate kimono and holding a crimson parasol. The composition allows the jacket to function equally well as anime memorabilia, Japanese-inspired fashion and wearable textile art.
The black reverse offers a complete visual counterpoint. Its silver-grey line embroidery resembles an ink drawing translated into thread, giving the jacket a darker, graphic personality without losing its ONE PIECE identity.

Purple Sakura and Nami Side
The most elaborate side is built around a luminous purple satin ground filled with densely embroidered sakura.
The back presents:
- Nami wearing an ornamental kimono
- A traditional red wagasa parasol
- Cascading pink and white cherry blossoms
- A large golden moon
- Stylized flowing water
- Falling petals and curved wind lines
The champagne sleeves continue the blossom embroidery, allowing the sakura branches to travel beyond the central panel rather than ending abruptly at the shoulders.
The front combines asymmetric blossom embroidery with swirling cloud and water forms, finished with a large golden monogram at the chest.
Black Pirate Side
The reverse changes the mood completely through black satin and pale outline embroidery.
The back features:
- A large Straw Hat pirate ship composition
- “Chief Officer” lettering
- The phrase “Writing the charts”
- Rolling cloud and wave forms
- A large decorative monogram
- Maritime and navigation-inspired imagery
The front carries individual ONE PIECE pirate emblems surrounded by turbulent cloudwork, while the sleeves continue the monochrome embroidered pattern from shoulder to cuff.
Nami and the Navigator Theme
Nami’s dream of charting the world gives the black side its conceptual foundation. The ship, mapmaking references and “Writing the charts” inscription transform the reverse into a tribute to her role as navigator.
On the purple side, the nautical theme softens into a poetic Japanese landscape. Water flows around the figure while cherry petals drift across the moonlit composition, balancing Nami’s adventurous identity with the elegance of traditional Japanese visual culture.
Sakura, Moon and Wagasa Symbolism
Cherry blossoms, or sakura, are closely associated with beauty, renewal and the fleeting nature of life.
The full moon introduces illumination, seasonal transition and nocturnal serenity.
The traditional wagasa parasol lends the composition a theatrical quality associated with historical Japanese dress, dance and woodblock-print imagery.
Together, these motifs create a jacket that feels closer to an illustrated night scene than ordinary licensed character apparel.
Materials and Construction
The original product specifications identify the outer presentation as 100% rayon, the reverse as 100% polyester, and the rib-knit trim as a wool and acrylic blend.
Notable details include:
- Fully reversible construction
- Smooth satin-finish surfaces
- Extensive multicolored embroidery
- Dense sakura embroidery extending onto the sleeves
- Monochrome outline embroidery on the black side
- Raglan sleeve construction
- Functional pockets on both presentations
- Rib-knit collar, cuffs and waistband
- Contrasting purple zipper tape
- Lightweight souvenir-jacket structure
Period Assessment
A discontinued modern collaboration piece from the late-2010s era of premium ONE PIECE embroidered apparel.
Its model-specific artwork, elaborate reversible construction and association with an established Japanese sukajan producer give it stronger collector appeal than standard mass-produced anime outerwear.
Condition
Very good pre-owned condition with natural signs of previous wear.
The satin surfaces display expected creasing and light handling wear. The embroidery remains highly detailed, vibrant and visually strong, including the finer sakura work and monochrome outline stitching.
The rib-knit sections and zipper appear intact in the photographs. Please review every image carefully, as the photographs form an important part of the condition description.
Size and Measurements
Marked Size: L
Approximate flat measurements taken from the photographs:
- Chest width: 58–59 cm / 22.8–23.2 in
- Hem width, unstretched: Approximately 50 cm / 19.7 in
- Underarm sleeve length: Approximately 47–48 cm / 18.5–18.9 in
Japanese sizing may fit smaller than contemporary Western sizing. Please compare these measurements with a jacket that already fits comfortably.
Styling and Display
The purple side pairs beautifully with black trousers, wide denim, skirts, boots or minimalist monochrome outfits that allow the moonlit embroidery to command attention.
The black reverse works naturally with:
- Japanese streetwear
- Anime-inspired fashion
- Dark casual styling
- Wide-leg denim
- Combat boots
- Vintage sneakers
- Layered monochrome outfits
When not worn, the large embroidered Nami scene displays beautifully as textile art in an anime collection, fashion studio, boutique interior or Japanese-inspired room.
