Takashi Murakami My Lonesome Cowboy Offset Poster, Edition of 300, 500 × 500 mm, Superflat Sculpture

My Lonesome Cowboy is one of Murakami's most culturally disruptive works, a playful yet confrontational commentary on sexuality, fandom and otaku aesthetics. This 500 × 500 mm offset poster, released in an edition of 300, records the sculpture from his global Superflat expansion and is unused.

The Piece

The poster captures the sculpture as exhibited during Murakami's influential global Superflat expansion. For collectors it marks a turning point in the artist's career, the moment he bridged Japanese subculture with Western contemporary art, a trajectory confirmed when the sculpture itself achieved a record sale exceeding US$15 million.

Printed in offset by Kaikai Kiki in the square 500 × 500 mm format and with excellent edges and clean surfaces, it is ideal for framing and pairs naturally with the Hiropon documentation poster of the same era.
