Louis Vuitton Virgil Abloh Monogram Embossed Workwear Jacket with Shearling Collar, Green, Size 44

A vivid green cotton workwear jacket from Virgil Abloh's Louis Vuitton, embossed tone-on-tone with the Monogram and finished with a plush ivory shearling collar.

The Piece

Virgil Abloh's Louis Vuitton returned again and again to workwear, the clothes of the job site and the farm, recast in house codes and saturated colour. His tone-on-tone embossed Monogram, pressed into twill rather than printed, let the pattern appear only when light falls across it.

This jacket is cut in a heavy cotton twill in a bright grass green, embossed throughout with the Monogram. A gold-tone front zip runs to a generous collar of natural sheep shearling. The chest carries a vertical zipped pocket with a small decorative figure as its pull, alongside a flapped patch pocket, and there are lower patch pockets on each side. The body is lined in a natural cotton twill.

Size 44 is a compact fit with a slightly boxy, cropped line, well suited to a slimmer frame or to wearing open over a sweatshirt. Against denim or cream trousers the colour is joyful rather than loud.
