Louis Vuitton VIA Treasure Trunk in Silver Monogram Eclipse with Taiga Trim, June 2023 Lottery Release

Released in June 2023 as Louis Vuitton's first phygital collectible, the VIA Treasure Trunk links a physical trunk to Web3 digital authentication. This silver Monogram example with Taiga Eclipse accents is unused, its protective films intact, and complete with VIA documentation and original packaging.

The Piece

A hyper-limited release from VIA, Louis Vuitton's first digital collectible series, the Treasure Trunk bridges traditional trunkmaking and digital authentication. It was available only to winners of a global lottery open to applicants in the US, UK, France, Canada, Germany, Japan and Australia, and was not offered for walk-in retail purchase; in Japan, fewer than five individuals were able to purchase it.

This edition is presented in shimmering silver Monogram with Taiga Eclipse leather trim and signature hardware. Inside, the trunk opens to a pristine ivory interior with two lower drawers and matching VIA documentation. Its sculptural form and minimal, futuristic lines make it both a functional object and a museum-grade décor piece.

The example was acquired through the original lottery and has since been kept in a single private home, stored carefully and never used: one of the most elusive objects of Louis Vuitton's modern era.
