Louis Vuitton Vertical Box Trunk M59664, Monogram with Neon Green Handle, Autumn 2021

The Vertical Box Trunk from Virgil Abloh’s Autumn–Winter 2021 collection: a miniature Monogram trunk stood on end, with riveted corners, a gold “N°7” plaque and a handle in fluorescent green leather.

The Piece

Built like a trunk in miniature, the body is Monogram canvas over a rigid frame with brown leather edges and gold-tone rivets at every corner. The top opens on a double zip; the gold N°7 plaque on the front recalls the collection’s name.

The rolled top handle is in bright neon green leather, the collection’s signature flash of colour, and a long adjustable Monogram strap lets it hang at the hip or across the body. Inside, a flat open pocket under a green lining.

Measures 15.5 × 21.5 × 7.5 cm (6.1 × 8.5 × 3 in); handle drop 6 cm; strap to 132 cm (52 in).

Condition

• Graded S overall in Japan: exterior SA with faint rubbing at the corners and slight dulling to the hardware, interior S with light marks only.
• Canvas, zips and the green handle are clean and bright.
• No box; the shoulder strap is included.

Authenticity & Care

Date code, Monogram alignment, heat stamp, vachetta trim, stitching and hardware engraving are examined together and documented in Japan before dispatch. Keep it stuffed and in its dust bag away from sunlight and damp; wipe the coated canvas with a soft dry cloth and let any natural leather trim darken on its own.
