A trucker jacket from Pharrell Williams's first Louis Vuitton collection, its navy Monogram denim washed over with a bleached, painterly floral graphic that breaks across the front and back.
The Piece
Pharrell Williams's spring-summer 2024 debut on the Pont Neuf announced a new, louder Louis Vuitton menswear, and denim was at its centre. Classic Monogram cloth was reworked with prints, washes and camouflage, treating the house pattern less as a logo and more as a surface to paint over.
This Monogram Printed Denim Jacket takes a dark navy denim woven with the Monogram and overlays a pale, bleached floral print that sweeps diagonally across the chest, back yoke and sleeves. The cut is a relaxed, dropped-shoulder trucker with two buttoned chest pockets, side pockets, buttoned cuffs and waist adjusters, finished with engraved gold-tone Louis Vuitton shanks. A touch of elastane gives the denim some give, and the body is lined in cotton.
Size 52 wears full and comfortable, sitting just below the waist with a slightly cropped, square line. The contrast of deep navy and chalky white is strong enough to carry an outfit on its own; dark trousers and simple footwear let it lead.
