The Piece
The Cyclone first appeared in the Lewis Leathers shop in 1973, a revamp of the 1960s lancer-fronted jackets with the one-piece back panel of the Bronx. It is cut to hug the body and became a fixture of the London punk and rock scene, worn by Chrissie Hynde and Mick Jones among many others.
This Cyclone is in black leather with a concealed wrap-over front, snap-back collar and lapels, a heavy Clix main zip, a slanted zipped chest pocket, two zipped hand pockets, a zipped change pocket on the sleeve, zipped cuffs with leather pulls and a fully adjustable waistband. It carries the Aviakit and Lewis Leathers labels, the gold wings badge on the chest and a circular embroidered punk patch, a raised-finger gesture, stitched to the left upper sleeve.
Size 34 is a close, compact fit, short in the body and slim in the sleeve, as the Cyclone is meant to be.
Shows some general wear, but nothing that affects its use. A Cyclone with real attitude, ready to keep going.
