For the right-handed player: 7 BERES IS-02 irons in the two-star grade, ARMRQ6 49 2S shafts, regular flex.
The Piece
Honma’s Sakata factory makes BERES irons the slow way: forged heads, hand finishing, and ARMRQ shafts wound in-house rather than bought in. Each set carries a star grade, two stars being the entry to the line, three stars a lighter premium shaft with gold accents, four stars and above adding 24-karat gold plates and rings.
The IS-02, released in 2012, refined the BERES cavity iron with a deeper slot behind the face and a wider sole, so the ball launches high with little effort. This set runs 5 to 11, 7 clubs in all, right-handed, on ARMRQ6 49 2S shafts in regular flex.
