The Piece

A denim jacket split into half green and half bleached indigo blue is finished with kimono brought in from Kyoto, applied across the back and as full sleeves. The denim is bleached by hand, and the house counts the piece among its best-looking work.

The kimono is nishiki-ori brocade from Kyoto, set on the back and sleeves of the jacket. The hand bleaching gives the denim a distinctive texture, and the kimono fabric, a symbol of Japan, turns the back into the focal point.

Handmade in COTE MER's own workshop, the jacket is one of a kind and moves easily between street and mode dressing, ideal for a wearer who would rather not match anyone else.
