Chanel Vintage CC Ribbed Barrel Clip-On Earrings, Gold Tone, Spring 1996 (96P)

A ribbed gold-tone barrel split by the CC, from Chanel’s Spring 1996 collection. A strong, graphic shape that sits flat against the ear and catches light along every rib.

The Piece

The mid-1990s were the high point of Chanel’s vintage costume jewellery, and the 96P earrings have the dense gilding and precise casting of the period. The barrel form was made in several versions; this one, with its open ribs and central CC, is among the most wearable.

The clip backs have been fitted with replacement ear pads for comfort, which is noted in Details and shown in the photographs.
