The Piece

Virginie Viard’s recent seasons have played with the house’s travel heritage, and this brooch borrows from the leather nameplates on Chanel trunks and totes. The stitched frame is rendered in metal, so the piece is far more durable than it looks.

At 56 mm wide it anchors a lapel or the collar of a coat, and it works equally well on a bag strap.
