Chanel Cashmere and Silk Stole, Green and Blue Brushstroke Check with Large CC, 136 × 193 cm

A blanket-sized Chanel stole in gauzy cashmere and silk, its green, blue and white check painted rather than printed, with a large CC woven at the centre.

The Piece

The weave is light and open, the cashmere giving warmth and the silk a faint sheen. Bands of green, blue and lime cross a white ground like loose brushstrokes, framing a large double C in the same palette; the edges are fringed.

Measures about 136 × 193 cm (53.5 × 76 in). Composition label 65% cashmere, 35% silk; made in Italy; with the Chanel box.

Condition

• Graded A in Japan: light marks and small flaws, otherwise in good order.
• A few pulled threads and small breaks in the open weave, shown in the photographs; the colours are bright and the CC intact.
