Square quilting instead of diamonds: the early-2000s Chocolate Bar flap in black lambskin, closed with the gold Mademoiselle turnlock of the 2.55.

The Piece

The flap and body are quilted in the raised squares that gave the Chocolate Bar line its name, the lambskin soft and deep black. A gold-tone Mademoiselle turnlock fastens the flap; the chain strap is gold with a leather shoulder pad.

Inside, the tan leather lining holds a flat pocket and the serial sticker. Measures 15.5 × 14 × 11 cm (6.1 × 5.5 × 4.3 in); strap drop about 58 cm (22.8 in). Serial 6370…, 6 series; made in France; with the Chanel box and dust bag.
