Vacheron Constantin Day-Date Ref. 47008/000J-3, oro amarillo de 18K, esfera champán guilloché, automático, década de 1990

A 1990s Vacheron Constantin Day-Date in 18K yellow gold, from the period when the Geneva house joined classical proportion, guilloché artistry and complication into a distinctive language. The champagne guilloché dial is crisp and clean, and the watch is offered in Grade A condition with its VC case and outer box.

The Piece

Founded in 1755 and recognized as the oldest continuously operating watchmaker in the world, Vacheron Constantin has long balanced technical precision with aesthetic refinement. The 1980s and 1990s marked a renaissance for the house, when classic proportions, guilloché work and mechanical complication came together, and the Ref. 47008/000J-3 Day-Date is a fine expression of that era.

The champagne dial is decorated with a repeating geometric guilloché texture that catches light softly, giving depth and warmth. Day and date sub-registers sit horizontally in balanced symmetry, rendered with the finesse that distinguishes Vacheron dials, and slim leaf-style hands keep the dial legible while preserving its classical identity.

The 18K yellow gold case has the rounded elegance of Vacheron's 1990s collection: modestly sized yet richly detailed, weighty yet refined, luxurious without flamboyance. An automatic movement drives the watch with stable daily accuracy, and it is worn on a genuine leather strap. Pieces of this lineage appeal to collectors drawn to pure classical design without ostentation.
