Louis Vuitton × Takashi Murakami Neverfull Inside Out BB M14997, bolso tote de denim Cherry Monogram, 2025

Glossy red cherries, embroidered in relief, dance across indigo Monogram denim on this Louis Vuitton × Takashi Murakami Neverfull Inside Out BB, model M14997. Red calfskin trim, gold-tone hardware and a removable zip pouch complete a compact 2025 tote that looks back to one of Murakami's most beloved motifs through a contemporary silhouette.

The Piece

Murakami did not merely decorate the Monogram; he changed its emotional temperature, bringing humor, animation, optimism and an almost toy-like immediacy to one of the world's most recognizable luxury codes. The cherry became one of the enduring icons of his Louis Vuitton work, and M14997 revisits it in a later-generation design, an archival idea re-engineered for a contemporary object rather than a reproduction.

The base is Monogram denim rather than coated canvas, giving a softer, textile-driven surface. From a distance it reads as rich blue denim; up close the LV initials and flowers emerge through the weave; then the cherries take over. They are dimensional embroidered motifs, glossy red fruit on slim green stems with tiny highlights, repeated in clusters across front and back so that the effect is cheerful without becoming juvenile.

The palette is tightly controlled. Red calfskin frames the upper edge and handles like a graphic border, the cherries echo that red across the body, green stems add sharp accents and gold-tone hardware brings warmth. The hook closure becomes a small jewelry-like focal point at the front, and side attachments take the removable strap.

The Inside Out concept turns Louis Vuitton's structural vocabulary outward, exposing details that would usually stay hidden, a play on expectation well matched to Murakami's work. At approximately 26.5 cm wide, the BB works as a small everyday tote, carried by its two top handles or on the shoulder by the longer strap. The interior is finished in grained leather and holds a phone, card holder, compact wallet, keys, earphones and small cosmetics.

The removable zip pouch in matching Cherry Denim serves as a secure compartment inside the tote or as a separate small accessory. With a named collaboration, a specific model number and a defined 2025 production context, the bag belongs to a clearly identifiable chapter of the Louis Vuitton × Murakami story, recognizable but not predictable.
