From the LV² collaboration with NIGO, this Christopher PM enlarges, overlaps and disrupts the Maison's own codes: Damier becomes monumental and the Monogram appears to melt down the flap. Natural cowhide and dark hardware frame a piece that sits between Louis Vuitton travel design and Japanese streetwear, in excellent pre-owned condition.

The Piece

The LV² project joined two strong design languages. Louis Vuitton brings travel architecture, coated canvas, leather trim, hardware engineering and historic house patterns; NIGO brings a Japanese streetwear vocabulary built on graphic scale, remixing, collecting and the collision of familiar symbols, a sensibility that helped shape modern Japanese streetwear. The tall Christopher offers enough surface for the pattern itself to become architectural, so the whole bag is built around altered scale.

The body uses an enlarged Damier-inspired treatment in brown and black, turning the controlled checkerboard into a larger, more assertive rhythm while keeping the deep brown of Louis Vuitton's historic canvases; vertical natural leather bands divide the pattern and emphasize the height. On the top flap, classic Monogram canvas appears to melt downward into the Damier field, letting one house code bleed into the other, a single intervention that feels familiar at first and more unusual the longer it is viewed.

The Christopher draws on expedition and utility packs: a large vertical main compartment, top flap, drawstring-style inner closure, front fastening straps, twin side compartments that hold symmetry, adjustable shoulder straps, a top handle and multiple interior sections for electronics, documents and personal belongings. The natural cowhide may deepen in color and patina with handling, and dark hardware keeps attention on the pattern, completing a palette of brown canvas, warm leather and black metal.

Louis Vuitton's history is rooted in trunks, cases and luggage, and the Christopher carries that ancestry more clearly than many modern designs, its straps and volume descended from expedition luggage. NIGO overlays contemporary visual culture without removing it, and the model gathers Louis Vuitton, NIGO, Virgil Abloh-era menswear and limited collaboration production in one statement. It reads fully from behind and suits black tailoring, brown leather, raw denim, military jackets, field coats, workwear and monochrome clothing.
